Inspection of chain appearance:

1. Whether the inner/outer chain plate is deformed, cracked or embroidered

2. Whether the pin is deformed or rotated or embroidered

3. Whether the roller is cracked, damaged and excessively worn

4. Whether the joint is loose and deformed

5. When running, there is normal or abnormal vibration, and whether the chain is well lubricated

The limitations of the chain: chain, as a kind of common power transfer device, through the "chain" of hyperbolic arc design, reduce friction, used in power is larger and the running speed is slow, than belt drive has obvious superiority, such as tank, air compressor, etc., but the transmission speed too fast, because the chain flexibility than the belt transmission.

Inspection methods of chain:

Chain length accuracy shall be measured in accordance with the following requirements

1. The chain is cleaned before measurement

2. The chain under test shall be enclosed on two chain wheels, and the upper and lower sides of the chain under test shall be supported

3. Before the measurement, the chain shall stay for 1min under the minimum tensile load of 1/3

4. During the measurement, the specified measuring load is applied to the chain to make the chains on both sides of the chain tighten up

5. Measure the center distance of the two sprocket wheels

Chain structure:

It consists of an inner link and an outer link. It also consists of five small parts: inner chain plate, outer chain plate, pin shaft, sleeve and roller.

Measuring chain elongation:

1. In order to remove the clearance of the whole chain, a certain degree of tension must be applied to the chain to measure

2. When measuring, to minimize the error, measure in sections 6-10 (link)

3. Measure the size of L1 and L2 on the inside between the rollers with nodal Numbers, so as to determine the size L=(L1+L2)/2

4. Find the elongation length of the chain, which is compared with the use limit value of the chain elongation mentioned in the preceding paragraph

Chain elongation = judge dimension - reference length/reference length *100%

Base length = chain pitch * knots
