Active sprocket: the active sprocket is mounted on the engine output shaft by means of spline.

Driven sprocket: the driven sprocket is mounted on the driving wheel of the motorcycle, and the power is transferred to the driving wheel through the chain.

Generally, the active sprocket is smaller than the driven sprocket.

Sprocket assembly

1. Active sprocket

The drive sprocket is combined with the engine output shaft in the form of spline and is fixed with spline baffle or nut. Remove the sprocket cover, remove the chain, screw the spline baffle or retaining nut, and pull the sprocket out. Assembly is carried out in the opposite order.

2. Driven sprocket

The main brace is mounted so that the rear wheel is tilted up.

Tighten nuts and regulator nuts on the rear axle and remove chain box and chain.

Detach the rear brake lever and pull the rear wheel assembly out together.

Unload the bolts, nuts or retaining rings for the fixed sprocket wheel and remove the hub or pin bolts at the back of the sprocket wheel.

Correspondingly, when installing, proceed in the opposite order. Tighten the sprocket retaining nut or bolt (30-50n) at the specified moment. M) and rear axle nut (50-80n). M).

Installation requirements

Select the transmission sprocket correctly according to the vehicle specifications.

The position of the transmission sprocket (transmission output sub-shaft, hub, etc.) installed is checked to see if it is in good condition. Otherwise, it is necessary to repair or replace the relevant parts.

The main and driven sprocket is installed in place in the correct way and the fastener is tightened to meet the required torque.

After installing the transmission chain and adjusting the tightness, check whether the chain and sprocket cooperate smoothly and in the same plane without interference with the chain cover.

The radial driven sprocket shall have anti-loose measures.
